The answeris laafi.
Ask how things are. Laafi is the answer.
Where the name comes from
Laafi is a word heard across the Sahel. Ask someone how they are, and laafi is the answer: all is well. We chose it because that is the only promise worth making to someone who runs a business: that things are going as they should, even when they are not looking.
Our first product is an assistant. It answers a business's customers at any hour, in French or English, using only the owner's own prices and rules. It takes the order or booking, checks the mobile money proof, and tells the owner only what needs them. The owner keeps the final word on money.
The name has two a. In the way many languages here are written, a doubled vowel is a long one, a sound you hold. That is the idea behind everything we make: not a quick fix, but an answer you can count on.
What we believe
- We think calm is built, not wished for.
- We answer, every time, and we say only what is true.
- We don't invent a price, a deal, a number or a customer.
- We leave the decisions that matter to the person they belong to.
- We treat every customer with dignity, especially when something looks wrong.
- We stay in the background. The business's name comes first.
- We build for here first: French and English, FCFA, mobile money, addresses described the way people really give them.
- We would rather be steady than loud.
- The answer is laafi.
One brand, plain names
LAAFI is the brand. Each offering carries a plain name after it that says what it does. Today there is one: LAAFI Assistant, which answers your customers. In front of them, your business comes first: the assistant uses the name you give it.
